Our Mission Statement

The PTESAR Team's primary mission is the establishment of a well trained, fully equipped mounted search and rescue unit, capable of serving the public as a qualified resource that assists in locating lost, abducted, or missing persons in the State of Maine's large outdoors area, in a timely and efficient manner without endangering the searchers or further hazarding the lost person.

We participate in searches which are organized by the Maine Warden Service.

We are strictly volunteer. We hold fundraisers and sometimes receive donations to buy equipment, such as radios and medical packs and to pay for an occasional instructor. Each member buys his or her own equipment and often pays for any specialized training offered.
