The following information was taken from an interview with Brandie Lopes, in The Weekly newspaper, on March 19th, 1999:

Brandie Lopes started her own business over 12 years ago. This may not seem remarkable until you meet Lopes, the chief artist, designer, production worker, shipping clerk, quality control specialist, and CEO of Brandywine Graphics.

When 14 years old Lopes met an artist at a sidewalk art sale. Colorfully painted saws, slates, and other gift items sparked the imagination of the young woman, who turned her artistic abilities into a profitable weekend business that grew into Brandywine Graphics in July of 1997.

Lopes designs and prints/embroiders t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, tote bags and other items for individuals, companies and organizations.
Some of her custom art and design work can be seen around the Greater Bangor area, at a variety of businesses, including Nicky's Cruisin Diner, located on Union Street.

Other customers come from all over the state, because they like the one-on-one service and attention to their needs.

Lopes is a calm, confident young entrepreneur and a role model for other young women (and men) who have talent and a dream.
